If Bovada is Not Allowed In Your State, Where Should You Bet At?
If I am ever asked what my absolute favorite Online Gambling site is for my sports betting needs, I don’t really have to think about it.
The answer, by far, is Bovada.
Bovada was launched by the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group back in 2011 under the Kahnawake Gaming license and now offers the players all of the amenities they could ask for, with Sports Betting, a great Casino, a Poker Room, Race Book, and even Live Dealer action. The speed with which Bovada provides their odds, a pretty decent welcome bonus, and an extensive list of sporting events are among the main advantages of this sportsbook making it the number one choice for a number of those looking to do some gambling online.
However, as much as I could sing their praises all day long, Bovada is not available to everyone that happens to be passionate about Online Gambling. According to section 2.3 of the Bovada Terms and Conditions, there are a few states that are not allowed. Not many, only 5 to be exact, but this means that the residents of these states must go elsewhere for their gambling needs. These states are:
- Delaware
- Maryland
- New York
- New Jersey
- Nevada
Now, as for the why the residents of these states can not gamble at Bovada, that’s a matter for another article altogether. For right now we can just leave it at this.
It is not Bovada’s fault.
Moving past that, there are still some great choices for those that cannot go to Bovada. Actually, there are some great choices for anyone that cannot go to any certain site, or maybe just want to find a new sportsbook to check out! After all, you should be checking out the odds over at multiple sites to make sure that you are getting the most value for your dollar!
So let’s just go ahead and get right into the top sportsbooks for those that aren’t allowed over at Bovada!
Looking at their site, BetOnline touts themselves as “much more than an online betting platform” with a “focus on the player approach” and having a reputation that is built on “offering their clients nothing but the best” and on and on.
The thing is, I couldn’t agree more! BetOnline is usually my number two choice when I am cruising around my usual sites to make sure that I’m getting the best odds myself and over the years they have always done right by me and others here in the office! They are also often the first place I think of when someone says, “who would you recommend besides Bovada” (admittedly, that’s really not that often, but that’s a matter for another time).
When I say “years”, that is quite literal. BetOnline is actually among the first of the sites I started working with a couple of decades ago and they’re still toward the top of my personal lists.
For those players that enjoy grabbing all of the bonuses they can, they’ll want to check out the fact that BetOnline will technically give you a bonus on every deposit you make if you choose to take advantage of it with the 25% Sports Reload Deposit. I could go on and on about the bonuses here as there are usually around 40ish promotions going on at all times for you to look through if you decide to do so.
When you arrive at BetOnline you can see immediately that they are going to really take care of the people by sharing with you right away the seven categories that they really shine in.
- Sports
- Casino
- eSports
- Poker
- Race Book
- Contests
- Live Betting
As you can see, no matter what you happen to be feeling one day, BetOnline has got your back and I’m sure you will have a wonderful experience!
If you were to go through all of these sites in a list format, you would end up over at SportsBetting right after BetOnline, and in doing so, you may end up thinking that the two sites look very much alike. Well, you wouldn’t be wrong at all! SportsBetting and BetOnline are owned and operated by the same company!
It’s not a secret from anyone that’s been involved with Online Gambling for a time that SportsBetting came around and had some problems some years ago. Enter the team from BetOnline that showed up, said “Hey, we’ll buy you and take care of your debts” and did just that. They actually held true to the promises that they made about taking care of debts and started to run the two with virtually no problems since!
Now you know that the two sites are very similar and there just isn’t a lot to say about SportsBetting that hasn’t already been said all the way down to the seven categories that you can choose from with little to no effort.
There is something to keep in mind, however.
I had mentioned that there are upwards of 40 promotions to choose from at any time over at BetOnline, and the same could be said about SportsBetting. Many of these bonuses are “one time use” kinds of things and once you use it, it’s gone. However, there is nothing in the Terms and Conditions of the two sites that says you cannot join both which would essentially allow you to use any bonus twice if you find one that you love!
It’s really not that often that you will find a loophole that will let you use the same “one time only” bonus twice without breaking the rules and risking your account!
If you want to do the same at SportsBetting, you will need the code DOUBLEUP!
Always good to accept players from any US state is BookMaker!
BookMaker is another solid, honest, and reliable sportsbook that I have been working with for many years now. This is probably going to be the book that you want to check out first if sports betting is always going to be your number one choice.
Some of the other sites I work with work hard at spreading the action around evenly from the sports, to their casino, to their poker room, and so forth. BookMaker does not do this.
You will find a casino action here but the sportsbook is where BookMaker is really going to shine. Here you will find some of the best odds for you to go through as well as easy access to some events that you may not have thought of gambling on in the past, such as cycling, darts, handball, things of that nature.
Those of you out there that like bonuses are going to want to check them out as well. As you get into the world of gambling on sports online, one of two things may happen.
- You’re just not very good at it at first, in which case you may find yourself making few reload deposits to fund your account and try again, or
- You’re extremely good at it and you want to keep funding your account to make bigger bets and take the steps toward bigger risks and rewards.
Enter BookMaker which happens to have one of the greatest Reload Programs you are going to find. It works on a tiered program where you can find yourself at the highest tier at some point and potentially getting a 20% Cash Bonus everytime you make a new deposit into your account!
If you have survived this crazy world long enough to be considered to be on the “older” side now, (as I have), you may love MyBookie! That’s not to say that MyBookie doesn’t cater to everyone, because they do, they’re just going for the older crowd first and foremost, that’s all, (if this doesn’t pertain to you, just keep on reading).
Whether you’re into the NFL, the NBA, College action, whatever your chosen flavor is, MyBookie offers some of the greatest Live Action betting around, and yes, they’re good to accept players from whatever US state you happen to live in.
Something that I would like to point out is that there is a 50% Welcome Bonus of up to $1,000 that’s exclusive to me. Use the code GOODBONUS when you are making your first deposit over at MyBookie and the extra cash could be yours!
If you are looking for something truly different to bet on, make sure to check out all of the options that you’re going to find over at MyBookie beyond the “normal” sports.
As an example, do you want to bet on some Food Network shows? MyBookie has got your back!
Now, make sure that you pay attention to this next section here…
I brought up the fact that MyBookie was marketing themselves toward an older crowd. But let’s just say that you want to go the other way.
Enter XBet!
XBet is owned and operated by the same amazing company that owns and operates MyBookie, but visually, there are some differences in the sense that XBet is obviously catering themselves toward the younger crowd. You will still find the same action on various events, just about always with the same odds. The difference you are going to see here is all visual.
I had talked about BetOnline and SportsBetting and the fact that you will think the two sure look a lot alike and the fact that they are supposed to. MyBookie and XBet are supposed to look different and they really do. If I was not telling you that the two are owned by the same company, you may not have guessed! XBet decided to go the way of the bright, flashy colors that you would expect to find on the sides of an energy drink can, but that’s it. You will still find all of the same great action there.
Don’t forget that if you go to take a look at them and see what they’re all about, use the code XBET50 to get yourself not only a 50% Welcome Bonus of up to $500, but you’ll also get a Free $10 Chip for use in the casino to take that for a test drive as well!
And lastly, I would like to mention Everygame, also always good for accepting any US player regardless of what state they reside in.
Once again we have a site here that has been around for a while and when I say “a while”, I mean a while.
Everygame is known for having taken the first online sportsbet a couple of decades ago back when they were still known as Intertops. Today you will still find the same site with the same great features and excellent customer service, it’s just the name that changed, that’s all.
Those of you out there that are really into exclusive Bonuses and Contests are going to love Everygame, they just may be the kings when it comes to this!
For some examples on contests, every year there’s the Win a Trip To The Super Bowl Contest or the Win a Trip To The Final Four Contest where anyone could win and go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip all on Everygame’s dime!
Conclusion
Bovada are my guys for my personal betting. This isn’t to say that I don’t love the others that I have mentioned here. I have an account at all of these books because I want to shop around and make sure that I’m getting the best odds for my bets.
When people find out what I do for a living, one of the first questions they will ask is “what’s the best gambling site I should be checking out?” and my answer is usually Bovada. Sometimes that will change depending on a player’s direct needs, but again, that’s a matter for another page altogether.
And then sometimes, Bovada would be my answer, but go figure, for whatever reason Bovada is not allowed where said player lives. Well, if you find yourself in this position now, you’ve got a good head start on finding yourself a new site where you are allowed to do some gambling. Basically any site that you find on this page will help fill the void quite nicely.
BetOnline and SportsBetting both feature user-friendly layouts.
Everygame features one of the best casinos.
BookMaker has some of the best odds on most of the more popular sports whereas MyBookie has some of the best odds on the not-so-popular sporting events.
As for where you should be going if you need to find a place that’s not Bovada, this is on you and it’s a decision you will have to make. Click on any of the links that you find in this page will put you well on your way to finding a new home for your gambling activities in no time.
As always, good luck in all of your gambling!
